Visiting Bohol is a unique experience. There is much you can experience, but sadly not many of us have enough time. Most people visit Bohol and stay for only a few days. You need more days to truly appreciate the beauty of Bohol.
Fortunately, there are communities all over the internet helping make your Bohol trip more worthwhile. Gone are the days of standing around discussing what to do. TripAdvisor is one of those sites that have crowdsourced what people like to do in Bohol.
If you look through the entire list, you can find 84 to do’s. Their list continues to change every day. As of this writing, here is the top 10.
Obviously, this is on top of the list. These world renowned hills are truly unique. Nowhere else in the world can you find these uniquely shaped wonders.
2. Stand Up Paddleboarding
A recent development in Bohol! Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) is usually held in the famous Loboc River. This is clearly for the more adventurous. If you don’t mind getting wet (because you likely will), you should try it. Book a tour.
3. Tarsier Conservation Area
The famous Tarsier is a mysterious creature on it’s own right. Incredibly small, but with unusually big eyes. It is notoriously difficult to breed and can only easily be found in Bohol. Watch the video above to learn more about the tarsier (it is hilarious).
4. Mahogany Forest
Popularly known as the Manmade Forest, this is a popular spot to pass through during the famed Countryside Tour. People are known to have their photo taken while standing in the middle of the road, but be very careful! Cars regularly speed through.
5. Baclayon Church
This church was severely damaged during the 2013 earthquake in Bohol. We’re proud to say that the church restoration work is well underway and they’ve restored enough to accept visitors again.
6. Bamboo Hanging Bridge
Not for the faint of heart, this bamboo bridge over Sipatan River in Sevilla, Bohol might scare a few from crossing it.
7. Bike Tours
Bohol is an ideal place to do a bike tour. Not many cars driving around means hardly any pollution and the flatness of Bohol island makes biking a relaxing affair. Book a bike tour here.
8. Bohol Habitat Conservation Center
Popularly known as the Butterfly Sanctuary, expect to see a good smattering of butterflies. They are also known to have excellent entertaining guides. It may not be one of the largest butterfly sanctuaries in Asia, but we can vouch that it is one of the most entertaining.
9. Danao Adventure Park
Looking for a true taste of adventure? The Danao Adventure Park has plenty of activities for the wild adventurer. There are ziplines to cross, caves to explore, rivers to kayak, and many more. There are two tours for this one: the nature lover and the extreme adventure.
10. Cathedral of San Jose
If you happen to be staying in Tagbilaran City, you should make your way to the Cathedral of San Jose right in the city center. Generally not part of any tourist itinerary, but it is well worth a visit especially for the regular Church goer.
Most everything else in the list is included in the famous Bohol Countryside Tour. If you want to book one, click here.
